Weekender 2017 – book now!

Friday 8 Sep at 6.00 pm - Sunday 10 Sep at 1.00 pm

hartington hall

All Menorah members and friends are warmly invited to the glorious Hartington Hall in the Peak District on 8-10 September for this year’s weekend away, which is all about Community. In our fast lives, a weekend away together offers an opportunity for respite from our computers and phones (we’ll be urging you to turn it off!) and blending into the melting pot that is Menorah at its best. There are still some places available – so do make that booking and look forward to a fun weekend.

Headlining Saturday night will be DANIEL CAINER, fresh from the Edinburgh Festival and topping Weekender’s bill of speakers, sessions, services and fun activities all loosely linked by Jewish content. Included in the exciting programme of events will be the Great Jewish Bake-Off, klezmer, choir, ask-the-Rabbis, meditation, politics and a quiz.

We’re reaching out particularly to families and younger members and friends. Kids go free and we’re working hard to produce a varied and open youth programme – though teens will also be free to hang out in the games room and chat if they want.

So join us to round off your summer at our first Menorah Weekender, which has been thoughtfully planned to provide something for everyone – a schedule of events and activities as diverse as our Menorah family, with time simply to gather and chat in beautiful surroundings.  We can’t guarantee the weather, but we can guarantee a warm coming together of progressive Jews for 48 hours. We hope it will be a highlight of the year – though we need you to help make that happen!

The regular price is £149 per person – excellent value for 2 days in a fabulous venue with all food and activities paid for. There is a reduced price of £99 per person and, because as a Community we don’t want to exclude anyone, there’s a subsidised price of £59 per person. In any event, PLEASE COME! Day trips and staying outside the venue are also possible; just email us. See you there!

PLEASE BOOK NOW – see below

If you would like any more information, or to play a part helping organise – which we would really like –please email us at:
