This year, Menorah is inviting all members and friends on a BIG weekend away, at the glorious Hartington Hall in the Peak District on 8-10 September.
There will be loads going on, a mix of the fun and the serious, with different activities aimed at different ages and a lot of thought going into providing what everyone wants there to make it a highlight of the year. Activities and discussions include Jewish history and culture, religion and politics and we have household-name guest speakers lined
up, as well as members of the Community bringing some of what they do to various “Community Corner” sessions, such as music, dance, theatre and philosophy. With a critical mass of people, we can have a wide variety of activity to appeal to our many different interests, all building up to a crescendo of a Saturday night party. Not to mention suppers and Shabbat services, cards and caves, Ivrit and Israel.
To really encourage families to come, the price is structured so kids (under 13 at 8 September 2017) are free.
We are asking those who can to pay the regular price of £129 per person, which isn’t bad for 2 days in a fabulous venue, with all food & activities paid for. If that’s too steep, the reduced price is £89 per person, and because as a Community we don’t want anyone not to come because they can’t afford it, there’s a subsidised price of £49 per person. Please pay as much as you can afford to, and in any event, PLEASE COME! Day trips and staying outside the venue are possible (email us), but we are strongly encouraging everyone to stay as those evenings and interactions all together are a unique and warm part of the occasion
Booking is open NOW – see below!
