Opera Appreciation with Joyce Kennedy

Royal Opera HouseFor all who love – or would like to learn to love! – opera.

We usually meet on the first Thursday of the month, to focus on one particular opera under the expert guidance of Joyce Kennedy.

Joyce, who combined her career as a GP and anaesthetist with raising three children and writing two acclaimed books on opera and composers, was married to the late, much missed music biographer and critic, Michael Kennedy.  Joyce travelled worldwide with Michael to 90 operas every year and we are tremendously privileged that she is prepared to share her vast knowledge with us each month.

At each session Joyce will discuss an opera topic and, after the tea break, explore an opera illustrated by filmed excerpts.
