Board of Deputies meeting: request for discussion topics

On Sunday 21 October the The Board of Deputies will be meeting to debate on issues of concern to its constituent communities. Most likely each community will have different concerns and there will inevitably be divisions of opinion within each community on any one issue.

Bobby Garson, Menorah’s Board of Deputies representative, would like to take at least one topic to the meeting and requests suggestions from members. Proposals should be no more than two or three sentences and can be on any topic. Some examples might be: the degree of discretion given to the President of the Board; the protection of Jewish schools and the religious curriculum; the confrontation with the Labour party leadership; and the role, if any, the Board should play in the defence of the Israeli government.
