Book Club

The Menorah Book Club discusses a broad range of books of Jewish and general interest. Recent books discussed have included The Liars Gospel by Naomi Alderman, My Father’s Paradise by Ariel Sabar, and Dear Life by Nobel prize winner Alice Munro. The group meets once a month, usually on a Monday at 2.30 pm, at the synagogue; we talk about the chosen book for an hour, then break for tea, biscuits and chat, and finally we may discuss which books to read during the next half-year.  Some of us offer to facilitate discussion of a particular book, but this is strictly optional! Our group is friendly and inclusive, and new attendees are always welcome.
