ARK – with Selwyn Dorfman

Sunday 14 Oct at 11.00 am

Event Navigation

How long has this been going on? Topical debate – and Gershwin.

Menorah’s in-house contrarian, Selwyn Dorfman, has dedicated his entire life to offending as many people as he can. ARK has kindly offered him an opportunity to reflect on some of the themes that permeate his outspoken column in the Jewish Telegraph. If you like a good argument and a bit of a sing-song, come along to ARK!
Selwyn will be explaining why free speech is good, Holocaust Memorial Day is bad, capital punishment is good, boycotts are bad, settlements on the West Bank are good, and the #MeToo movement is both bad and good.
And he will intersperse the topics with some of his favourite songs from the jazz era – as well as some topical songs he has written himself* – all performed live!
* ‘100% rude and offensive’ – Mrs Dorfman

Tea, coffee and bagels from 10.30 am.
