A special Joint Shabbat Yachdav together with Jackson’s Row and Rabbi Oded Mazor of the Leo Baeck Education Centre’s Elementary School in Haifa. Rabbi Mazor was born and raised in Israel in a family long rooted in Reform/Progressive Judaism. He is a Kibbutz member on Kibbutz Hannaton in the centre of the Galilee, married and a father of three.
Please join us for a joint Friday night service and delicious Moroccan themed Shabbat Yachdav with Jackson’s Row at Menorah. Rabbi Mazor will be co-leading the service with Rabbi Fabian and Rabbi Robyn. A discussion and Q&A with Rabbi Mazor on ‘Appreciating the Differences: (Reform) Jewish Life in Israel and in the Diaspora’ will follow over dessert.
Moroccan March is the culinary theme of inspiration. Please bring a vegetarian or fish dish to share but most importantly yourself and the family. Don’t miss this Oneg Shabbat together with our sister community of Jackson’s Row, and a chance to learn about being a Reform Jew in Israel.
