RAS Trial Long Post

This is just a trial event with a lot of text so that we can see what happens when we have a great deal of text that may be too much for the newsletter.

And here is a third paragraph

4th para and more:

Recurring events:

You can put in the common details and make the event recur for, say, up to 6 months ahead. Don’t do more because the list of future events would become unwieldy.

If you then click on any of the recurring events to edit them, you will, by default, be editing ALL the events in the series!

However, in the list of events, you can click on “Edit single” for any particular event. You get a warning saying that this action will separate out that event from the series. Then you can put in the special details for that single event.

Once you have started editing single events from the series, don’t go back and try to edit the whole series of recurring events – this would re-create entries for dates in the series where you had already separated out singles for editing. So you would get duplicates, or more, on the same dates.

I think I’ll repeat that..

Finally this is the end.
